Summer/Fall of 2017

This has been a truly amazing and crazy summer. Mara became more beautiful.

Shay just kept getting more awesome. 

Ardreth was sold. If you have not seen Ardreth's video, you should. My editing skills have vastly improved. 

Latte kept enjoying being a broodmare. (That is, until it was time to wean.)

I acquired a Section B big enough for me to jump and play with as much as I like. Her name is Midnight Promise Me Mocha. No joke, I now have two palomino mares named Latte and Mocha. 

Latte is in foal to Glenhaven Amadeus, due April 25th. This baby must be bigger than Mara, Latte was not this round last November. Amadeus is 14.2 hands high, Mara's dad was only 13.2 hands high. I'm hoping Latte does the same fantastic job with delivery, although ideally I would be allowed to see it this time!

I am thankful for all that God has blessed me with. Life is good. 

Alainn Lomhara - Beautiful Precious - Mara

The most gorgeous bay filly. She will be registered as Alainn Lomhara, which is Irish for 'Beautiful Precious'. Her barn name is Mara. 

And she is truly beautiful.

Faloth - Foam - Clanfair Allegro

I named him Faloth, which is the elvish word for 'foam'. His registered name is Clanfair Allegro. I bought this pony because it was convenient - but I just love this little guy!!

He's gotten taller since last year, and grown up a little bit - more like a beautiful two-year-old and less like a gawky yearling. He's playful, athletic, handsome, has a gorgeous mane, and is supremely charismatic! Here's a collection of some of my favorite photos, taken over the past couple of days. His favorite play pal is Mickey, Laura's mustang. They're almost exactly the same age, and Mickey is in most of these pictures.

They are both experts at 'bite the knees'.

Latte - What is she eating?

This post is about what Latte is eating during this last month of her pregnancy. 

First, she has free choice access to hay and a white salt block 24/7.

For a supplement, we are feeding roughly 1 lb. 10 oz. of Purina Molene.

In addition, we've mixed a custom supplement with the following items:

Omegas

Rice bran

Flax seed meal

Peanut oil 

Minerals

Zinc

Copper

Magnesium Oxide

Probiotics

Bio-Mos

Yea-Sacc

Add hot water.

Mix well to make a delicious mash.

Latte is always ready to eat by the time I get there. 

Not only does she love her goodies, but she loves the scratching she gets afterward!
