Latte is NOT IN FOAL

Artificial Insemination failed - twice. Due to financial restrictions of real life, I couldn't try again last year. I plan to take her up and get Live Cover this spring.

This is the stallion in question (Gayfields Bling! Bling!), do you like him?

On the other hand, Latte and Deora are doing very well. Deora is going to be a big girl!!

Marty had a fabulous summer with Laura. It included jumping shows, halter, trail, play days, etc. He's been great.

Faloth has matured beautifully. I am so excited to start and ride him this year. He's finally four!

We're looking forward to a full summer with the Welsh ponies, and especially to the Western Idaho Fair in August.

First event of the year for us is this Saturday at Birt Arena. Marty and Mocha will be competing in the North Wind Winter Jumping Series.

Come back soon. ☺

April Highlights for Alainn Welsh

This has been a wonderful and busy April.

Deora was born 20 days before expected, on April 6 at 12:09 a.m. I am so thankful to have her and Latte healthy. Watching Deora's birth was absolutely amazing.
This photo was taken at four weeks old. She is going to be a stunningly beautiful pony! But, of course she has to be - Latte is her mother. :)

I tried dressage for the first time. Mocha did very well! I'm not sure if it's something I'll pursue, but it was definitely interesting.

I acquired another gelding to train, Marty.

I took Mocha to a play day. We did all the events, just very slowly. Time well spent.

May is already flying by with some special moments. Come back soon!
Thanks for reading!

Spring 2018

This spring has been full of the normal busy-ness. Here are a few quick updates!

Shay was sold to a wonderful new family on St. Patrick's Day. This picture is of him at his new home.

Mara has the most ridiculous beard, which I may clip off if it doesn't go away very soon. I can't wait until she loses all the fur and glosses out into her beautiful self!

Latte is huge. As of today, leaking milk. I'm on pins and needles until she foals!
This picture is from a few days ago, right now she has a lot of swelling in her legs.

Faloth is beautiful - and he has made it up to 12.1 hands high!

Mocha. :)

Below are a few pictures of Mara and Faloth playing around in the pasture.

You can be sure of seeing another blog post sometime in the near future - because Latte is going to drop that foal sometime in the near future! :)

Summer/Fall of 2017

This has been a truly amazing and crazy summer. Mara became more beautiful.

Shay just kept getting more awesome.

Ardreth was sold. If you have not seen Ardreth's video, you should. My editing skills have vastly improved.

Latte kept enjoying being a broodmare. (That is, until it was time to wean.)

I acquired a Section B big enough for me to jump and play with as much as I like. Her name is Midnight Promise Me Mocha. No joke, I now have two palomino mares named Latte and Mocha.

Latte is in foal to Glenhaven Amadeus, due April 25th. This baby must be bigger than Mara, Latte was not this round last November. Amadeus is 14.2 hands high, Mara's dad was only 13.2 hands high. I'm hoping Latte does the same fantastic job with delivery, although ideally I would be allowed to see it this time!

I am thankful for all that God has blessed me with. Life is good.
